CEE Laboratory / California Environmental Engineering conducted a comprehensive evaluation of D-1280X in the South Coast air quality region. Testing measured both fuel economy and emissions performance across multiple pollutant categories.

The South Coast region's stringent air quality requirements made it an ideal setting for evaluating an emissions-reduction technology, providing credible baseline conditions for the measurements recorded.

Mechanism Analysis

Technical Testing & Mechanism

DX1 is described as a synthetic ester-based technology. Southwest Research Institute and other technical evaluators analyzed the lubrication behavior, oil property changes, and fuel reformulation mechanism associated with the product.

The synthetic ester chemistry is proposed to reduce apparent viscosity, improve fuel atomization, reduce carbon deposits, and support more complete combustion — collectively explaining the multi-pollutant reductions documented in testing.
